We’re asked almost daily “what is a good everyday ring?” Since rings take more abuse than any other jewelry, that is a good question. Your selection depends on how you wear your rings, and what you are going to put them through.
Diamonds are the hardest known substance and are the number one choice for every day rings. Even if you like color, diamonds can be for you, as they are available in pinks, greens, blue, cognac or chocolate, black, and my favorite canary.
Another great choice for daily wear are rubies and sapphires. They are second in hardness to diamonds. And again you have a wide variety of color choices, as sapphires come in a whole rainbow of natural colors.
How a stone is set is also important. Generally speaking, things that are channel set or bezel set will take more wear and tear than things that are prong set.
So when selecting your rings, ask questions and let your jeweler ask questions too. With the right information you can select your perfect ring.
